The Passing of A Legend

It is with very many tears that we announce the passing of Trigger. We will postpone our full post about our anniversary trip to DC for a few days as we deal with the loss of our kiddo. He wasn't just a cat to me or Holly. He was a member of the family. It is true that his place in the food chain changed when Eli came along, but we still loved and cared for him deeply. He passed while at the vet being boarded for our trip. We already miss him deeply.

rooowowowwoww...such sad news!! Trigger, may you enjoy the plush beds and bountiful mice of kitty heaven, where there is no litter box and you can bask in the warm rays of the sun all day.

Thanks everyone. I've had a rough week adjusting to life without my sweet kitty. While I know he is an animal, a pet, he was my baby and I loved him with all my heart. I appreciate the well wishes very much.

I'm so sorry about your kitty. Do you know the book "Cat Heaven" by Cynthia Rylant? She also wrote "Dog Heaven," which I read to the kids when our dog died a few years ago. It may be too sad for you to read right away (I still cry whenever I read DH!), but they are beautiful books.

I am so sorry to hear this...two months after Kyle was born, our cat Bandit died unexpectedly. It was horrible, so my heart goes out to you.

That's really sad - I only met Trigger once but he was a really sweet cat. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Billy Baggy britches is somber to here about trigger. He has constructed a poem in his honor:

Trigger was good kitty
with very few flaws
He was very sweet and cuddly
from his kitty head to his kitty paws.

We celebrate his life
with streamers and balloons
We think of him in heaven
wearing his kitty pantaloons.

- Rest in Peace Trigger

We are so sorry. We know how special Trigger was to both of you and we can only imagine how hard it must be to lose such a great friend. ~Erin and Clint
